CAMP LUNCHES

Lunch and Snack Policies

Please bring a vegetarian lunch and a refillable water bottle every day to camp. You may order hot lunch for an additional fee.

Camp Shalom provides snack for preschool-age campers (in Pashoshim, Katan, and Kitat Ha’ashara). Campers in grades K-10 should bring their own snacks.

All food brought from home must be kosher-style and vegetarian (fish is okay, but not shellfish). For a list of yummy lunch ideas, please see the Camp Shalom Parent Packet (which will be sent to you prior to your camper’s first week of camp).

We are a nut-free camp! Please don’t send nuts, peanut butter, or any products containing nuts to camp.

Hot Lunch Available Daily

Take a break from making lunch! Campers can enjoy a delicious, nutritious lunch from the House of Bagels Cafe in the JCC’s main lobby. Order online by creating a user account at LFC.boonli.com (password is LFC1). Lunch registrations must be submitted online and at least one full business day (24 hours) in advance. All meals include fruit and a drink. You may choose to replace the main dish with a bagel with cream cheese on any day. Make sure to check the website for the different lunch options that are offered every day.

The lunch menu will be available at LFC.boonli.com starting on Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

All meals include fruit, drink, and dessert. You may choose to substitute a bagel with cream cheese instead of the main dish on any day.

You can quickly and easily sign up online at lfc.boonli.com. If this is your first time registering, click on Register and enter the password: LFC1
(Returning campers, please log into your account and switch your child’s class to Camp Shalom for campers entering kindergarten and up, or Camp Katan for campers in the preschool/pre-k group in the fall.)

A few helpful hints about purchasing lunches:

  • ALL lunches must be purchased in advance and online through the ordering website. The House of Bagels and the Camp Shalom and Preschool Offices will not take direct orders (walk-in orders cannot be accommodated).
  • If your child is going on a field trip (Wednesdays), you must select the FIELD TRIP BOX LUNCH option.

A few helpful hints about bringing your own lunch from home:

  •  All food that campers bring from home must be vegetarian as well (fish is okay, with the exception of shellfish). Please do not send your camper with meat, shellfish, nuts, or nut butter in their lunches.
  • For a list of yummy lunch ideas see the Camp Shalom Parent Packet that will be sent to all camp families.
