Mini Basketball

Entering Grades K-3
Week 2: 6/18-6/22

Learn basketball skills in this fun-focused camp led by Top Flight coaches. Participants will enjoy a focus on the fundamentals like dribbling and shooting, using our new kid-sized basketball hoops. We’ll also participate each day in Camp Shalom’s morning song circle, and we’ll also get to go swimming every afternoon.

 

Recreational Basketball

Entering Grades 1-6
Week 6: 7/16-7/20
Week 9: 8/6-8/10

Top Flight basketball camps are tailored to players who are looking to develop their basketball game. You will be coached on technique, conditioning, and overall fundamentals of the game. We’ll also participate each day in Camp Shalom’s morning song circle, and we’ll also get to go swimming every afternoon.

 

Competitive Basketball

Entering Grades 3-8

Week 4: 7/2-7/6 (no camp July 4)

Join the Top Flight Elite staff for this next-level-up basketball program. Campers will continue to perfect their skills through a series of competitions and games. Our ELITE Camp is for AAU / All-Net Caliber Players. Some players will be invited to try out for our Top Flight Elite AAU program. This camp includes high level drills, next level training, superior scoring moves, high school/college defensive strategies, and competition vs. the best players in the area. We’ll also participate each day in Camp Shalom’s morning song circle, and we’ll also get to go swimming every afternoon.

 

Martial Arts

Cost for the 2-week session is $780 for JCC members, $930 for non-members.

 

This summer, Camp Shalom is teaming up with Bay Area Parent magazine #1 rated children’s karate program in the Silicon Valley, Buhisan/Mosqueda’s USA Martial Arts. USA Martial Arts places a high emphasis on children’s character development, and in this camp your child will be learning a valuable lesson in teamwork. Participants will work together to put together a martial arts demonstration that they will perform on the last day of camp.

 

Martial Arts campers are divided into two groups, one for campers entering grades K-2, and one for campers entering grades 3-6.

 

For martial arts campers in grades K-2, we provide a special program that is half-day martial arts, half-day traditional camp. Campers get all the fun and excitement of the martial arts program in the morning and follow it up in the afternoon with traditional camp activities such as swimming, art, and science. Campers in grades K-2 are included, along with campers in grades 3-6, in the end-of-session martial arts demonstration.

 

For martial arts campers in grades 3-6, we offer a full-day martial arts experience so you can perfect your martial arts skills.  We’ll also participate each day in Camp Shalom’s morning song circle, and we’ll also get to go swimming every afternoon.

 

Parkour Ninja Warrior

Entering Grades 3-6
Week 5: 7/9-7/13

Back by popular demand is our American Ninja Warrior camp! Campers will compete in all kinds of fun, physical challenges. There will be non-stop action in this camp – from obstacle courses and climbing challenges to progressive relays and team-based competitions. Campers will be lead through the rigors of Parkour by our certified personal trainers, who have experience with
this type of fitness. We’ll also participate each day in Camp Shalom’s morning song circle, and we’ll also get to go swimming every day.
Workout gloves are highly recommended for this camp, to prevent blisters.

 

Soccer

Entering Grades K-6

Come out and kick-it with Liverpool Football Club, as we enjoy the most popular sport on earth, SOCCER! Professionally trained coaches will ensure that players learn and improve on techniques and tactics. This program is great both for beginners and for experienced players looking to improve their skills. Campers will be placed into groups based on skill, not age, and paired with a coach best suited to work with that skill level.
* Please note: Soccer campers will participate in soccer activities in the morning, and then filter into traditional day camp in the afternoon.

 

Tennis

Entering Grades K-6
Week 1: 6/11-6/15
Week 3: 6/25-6/29
Week 5: 7/9-7/13
Week 7: 7/23-7/27

Campers will learn basic fundamentals and improve their game through footwork drills, games, strategy, and match play while having fun on the courts! Off the court, campers will participate in morning songs, daily swimming, and other fun. Campers will be divided by skill level and paired with the instructor who is best suited for their level. Players must bring their own racquets.
* Please note: Tennis campers will participate in tennis activities in the morning, and then filter into traditional day camp in the afternoon.

 

Youth Cross Training Fitness

Entering Grades 3-6
Week 8: 7/30 -8/3

This camp is the ultimate introduction to a lifelong love of fitness and active lifestyle habits. You’ll learn and practice functional movements, fundamentals of Olympic Weight Lifting, strategies for including Mobility training, and a cross-section of all types of strength and cardiovascular training including running, swimming, body weight training, and appropriate nutritional fuel for activities. Campers will learn fitness center etiquette and safety, and complete the JCC Youth Fitness Program, making campers age 10 & up eligible to work out in our fitness center (under a parent/guardian’s supervision) after they complete the program. We’ll also participate each day in Camp Shalom’s morning song circle, and we’ll also get to go swimming every day.
